My story is one of resilience, hopefully inspiring others to pursue their dreams. I hope that others see my journey as a reflection of the power of faith and the strength of the human spirit. It is because of this blend that I can dedicate my time to advocating for causes that impact the lives of the most vulnerable and precious members of our society.
For those who may not know, on January 9, 2020, I suffered a splenic artery aneurysm (SAA), a rare condition where the diameter of the splenic artery dilates to over 1 cm. An SAA rupture is associated with relatively high mortality. Had it not been for my amazing husband’s persistent push for care and the wonderful paramedics, surgeons, and nurses, I would not be here today.
Thanks to everyone’s continued prayers, I have made a full recovery and am forever grateful. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is in control and has more work for me. I pray daily for the discernment and wisdom to understand what that work entails.
