The reason that many of us parents continue to fight is that there are children in danger—children who need parents, grandparents, and local taxpayers to set everything aside and stand up to protect them. We understand the value of our children’s lives and futures and have come together to actively engage in the educational process that will determine their future opportunities. As parents, guardians, and caretakers, we have both the responsibility and the right to be involved in their daily lives, including their time spent at school and in the classroom. We have the responsibility and the right to know “what” and “how” our children are learning.
